    Stonington High School to hold public forum on vaping Thursday

    Stonington — A public forum for parents and students about vaping will be held Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Stonington High School auditorium.

    The forum, which will talk about what vaping is, its effects and treatment, is being presented by the high school, the Stonington Prevention Council and the town’s department of Human Services.

    High school students will lead a PowerPoint presentation followed by Dr. Frank Maletz discussing the effects of vaping and licensed clinical social worker Jennifer Gardiner discussing treatment resources for addicted youth. There will also be a question and answer period.
