Traffic delays on I-395 after crashes reported in Waterford, Montville

Two separate car crashes on Interstate 395 are causing traffic delays on both the northbound and southbound sides of the highway.

An accident involving three vehicles on I-395 north between Exits 2 and 6 in Waterford is delaying traffic. The left lane of the interstate is closed, the state Department of Transportation said in an alert. The crash happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

In Montville, a two-car accident on I-395 south between Exits 6 and 5 has left one lane open. The accident was reported at about 1 p.m., the DOT said.
