New London — Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday for voting in the special election to fill the vacant 39th District House seat.

Candidates in the four-way race to replace Democrat Chris Soto are petitioning candidate Jason Catala, Republican and Independent party candidate Kat Goulart, New London Green Party candidate Mirna Martinez and Democrat Anthony Nolan.

Soto resigned and is now working as legislative affairs director for the Gov. Ned Lamont administration.

Voting is open to registered voters in Districts 1 and 2. District 1 residents vote at New London High School at 490 Jefferson Ave. and District 2 at Harbor School at 432 Montauk Ave.

School is in session, but some parking spaces will be blocked off for voters.
