Friends and Neighbors: Gales Ferry vet helping others through Center for Hospice Care

The Center for Hospice Care Southeast Connecticut in Norwich recently welcomed back Norman Atwood of Gales Ferry, an Army veteran who took a few years off from volunteering. He heard a Center for Hospice Care representative speak at the Norwich Veterans’ Coffeehouse and was so moved by the presentation, he wanted to come back.

Atwood will be a part of Center for Hospice Care’s We Honor Veterans program pinning fellow veterans. On Monday, March 11, Norman was pinned by volunteer and Air Force veteran Bruce Dasinger of Niantic.
