The North Stonington Garden Club once again is offering students in the region an opportunity to apply for a $1,500 scholarship.

The Anna Coit Memorial Scholarship annually is granted to a student pursuing a college degree in agriculture, conservation, environmental studies, horticulture, landscape design or architecture, plant science or a related field, the club said in a news release. It is open to students from North Stonington, Groton, Ledyard, Mystic, Noank, Norwich, Pawcatuck, Preston, Stonington and New London, as well as Rhode Island students from Ashaway and Westerly.

Application forms and more information are available on the club's website, nsgardenclub.org. Required materials can be submitted by email at info@nsgardenclub.org or by mail at P.O. Box 266, North Stonington, CT 06359. The deadline is June 1.
