Salem — The Republican Town Committee is hosting its annual spring litter cleanup of Route 82 on Saturday.

Last year's crew of 16 focused on the areas between routes 85 and 354 and collected 85 bags of roadside trash in three hours.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Salem Community Park at 8:30 a.m. to receive their location assignments and trash bags provided by the town. A few drivers also will be needed to shuttle volunteers to and from their spots and to pick up the full trash bags at the end of the cleanup.
