Ledge Light offering mosquito control program

New London — Ledge Light Health District is providing free mosquito consultation services, including on-site recommendations and “mosquito dunks,” or larvicide, to residents in the district.

Mosquito dunks treat mosquito-breeding sites to reduce the potential for transmission of mosquito-borne diseases, including West Nile virus, Eastern equine encephalitis and Zika virus. They use a naturally occurring biological larvacidal and are safe for use around the home.
