U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to hold boating safely class in New London
New London — The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will hold a boating safely class in New London next month.
This beginner, one-day boating class is taught by certified U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary instructors and will give attendees the knowledge needed to obtain a boat license or safety certification in Connecticut and many other states. Topics include: Intro to boating, boating law, boat safety equipment, boating problems and navigation.
The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the New London Elks Club at 81 Washington St. The cost is $55 per student, with additional discounts possible. Preregister by contacting or texting Lisa Lawler at (978) 257-1432.
