Groton Democratic Town Committee to hold blood drive
Groton — The Groton Democratic Town Committee is partnering with the American Red Cross to hold a mobile blood drive from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, in the Groton Senior Center parking lot.
"Tired of sending thoughts and prayers to gun victims? Do something that helps victims and also benefits our community now. Donate blood," an event notice states. "Gun violence reached all-time highs in 2018, resulting in the death of 39,773 people last year and are on track to repeat again."
