New London candidate welcomes NFL player at campaign event

New London — Former New England Patriots football player Dominique Easley will make an appearance in New London on Sunday as part of a campaign event for City Council candidate Alexis Major.
The event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Green Room at 354 Bank St. Easley, who was managed by Major, will talk about his days in high school, as a Florida Gator and as a Patriot.
The event is for the youth and their parents in the New London community, with stories, food and autographs. Major is the daughter of Recreation Director Tommie Major and the late Barbara Major.
