The Salem Land Trust is hosting an open comment period for renewal of its accreditation through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.

Members of the public can submit signed comments to the commission, a program of the Land Trust Alliance, on how the trust is run in an ethical, sustainable and responsible way.

The Salem Land Trust, a nonprofit since 2000, was the first land trust in the state to be accredited in 2009 and renewed its accreditation in 2014.

Comments can be submitted before April 5 by visiting landtrustaccreditation.org or by mailing to Land Trust Accreditation Commission, Attn: Public Comments, 36 Phila St. Suite 2, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 12866.
