New London Trees to host informational walk on Saturday

New London — New London Trees, a group working to replace trees across the city, is hosting a walk and reception on Saturday to discuss the recent project to plant trees along the center median of Governor Winthrop Boulevard.
City Tree Warden Dave Denoia will be in attendance. The public is invited to meet at 10 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church Parish Hall, on the 2nd floor, at 76 Federal St. Refreshments will be served.
Funding for the tree-planting project on Governor Winthrop Boulevard was provided by the New England Grassroots Environment Fund. New London Trees will be discussing future plans for State Street.
