    My Pet Pal Roundup 2019

Denver, right, is in training to help Aspen get around their Waterford house as his sight deteriorates.

Happy 2020, Times readers! We hope the new year and new decade bring you happiness.

In keeping with Times tradition, here is a review of some of our favorite submissions to the My Pet Pal column. Unfortunately, we can’t run all 51 that appeared in 2019 (we promise, they are all very good pets), but our entire archive is available on theday.com.

If you’d like to submit your pet to our My Pet Pal column (remember, we accept all kinds of pets, so feel free to share), send us an email at times@theday.com with “Pet Pal” in the subject line. We’ll need high-resolution photo of your pet, along with a short description of what makes him or her a great companion. All submissions must include your full name and town. Please note all submissions must come from the Times’ coverage area of southern New London County, and we no longer accept in memoriam entries.

Cutie and Archie enjoy chewing on everything and quarreling over snacks in their Montville home.
Brothers Spike (fluffy) and Rex (short-hair) demand love and attention at all hours from their Quaker Hill family.
Kenzy, who lives in Mystic, loves playing with and hiding in paper bags.
Reeces and Patches are full of love and funny noises. They live in their Mystic kitchen.
Chester lives in Niantic with his dog sisters and enjoys going for car rides and swimming in the kiddie pool.
Lady W lives in Gales Ferry and is full of charisma.
Pikesy loves watching TV, taking baths, sunning herself on the windowsill and walking through her yard in Niantic.
Daisy Mae and Ty, both of Groton, love doing everything together, including celebrating birthdays.
Shiloh came back from a dangerous life as a stray to live in peace with her family in Pawcatuck.
