Stonington resident joins Chelsea Groton

Renee Simao of Stonington has been named the customer solutions manager of the Norwichtown branch of Chelsea Groton Bank, replacing Cindy Harris, who recently retired after 37 years with the bank.

Simao comes to Chelsea Groton after working for Berkshire Bank in several positions, including branch administration and recruitment and training. She was named one of the “40 Brightest Stars of Southern Rhode Island” by the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce.

She has served in several community organizations, including most recently the Young Professionals of Eastern Connecticut and Norwich Chamber of Commerce as well as the board of the Stonington Youth Lacrosse League.
