Norwich — Marjan Zanjani and her family and friends were in Mohegan Park in Norwich on Wednesday, observing Sizdah Bedar,  the 13th day after the Iranian New Year, during which people spend time outdoors to cleanse themselves and their empty homes.

The family and friend Cara Begley were creating bubbles, while Zach Frommelt, 8, was trying to hit bubbles with a Frisbee and his cousin, Samantha Rogers, 6, tries to pop them with her head during a picnic.
