New London Republicans elect new leader
New London — The New London Republican Town Committee has new leadership.
Members unanimously elected Kat Goulart as chairwoman and Marty Olsen as vice chairman during a conference call of committee members on Sunday. Goulart replaces Rob Pero, who is now a member of the Board of Education.
Treasurer Daniel Docker was elected to serve a second term in his position and Sebastian Larrea elected to serve as secretary.
"Our city has an interesting political climate and with the infusion of some new members at our last caucus, I'm excited to see where that will take us," Goulart said. "New Londoners are craving political balance and the GOP is poised to give them that. I'm eager to steward New London Republicans in this next chapter."
