Groton encourages residents to take survey on Parks and Recreation, Pratt Building

Groton — The Town of Groton is encouraging residents to take a survey that will help guide decisions about future improvements to the Parks and Recreation system and the renovation of the Pratt Building.

"The results of this survey will provide critical information in determining community values, satisfaction levels, needs and priorities, and demographics for Groton Parks and Recreation’s long-term planning efforts and the renovation of the Pratt Recreation Building," a news release states. "Questions will be asked about what types of improvements residents want at their parks and recreation system and where priorities should be placed."

A random sampling of residents has been invited to take a survey to provide statistically valid results, the release states. A total of 4,000 households have been mailed a survey.

Groton Parks and Recreation also invites all residents to provide feedback through an open-link survey that will go live within the coming weeks on social media and www.grotonrec.com.

This project is led by GreenPlay LLC, with survey and data work done by RRC Associates.
