Waterford — The beach at Harkness Memorial State Park was lively Thursday, ahead of the Fourth of July weekend and amid warm, sunny weather.
Mixed clouds and sun, with showers and storms possible in the afternoon, are forecast for Friday, with highs around 78. But Saturday and Sunday are expected to be partly sunny and humid, with highs in the mid-70s along the shore and low 80s inland.
