Free food pantry, COVID-19 testing site Thursday at Norwich school

Norwich — A drive-up food pantry and free COVID-19 testing center will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Uncas School, 280 Elizabeth St. Extension.

Those interested in the COVID-19 test must call in advance to register at (860) 822-4919. Testing does not require a physician’s order, and those seeking tests do not need to be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Everyone attending the event must wear a mask.

The event is co-sponsored by United Community and Family Services and the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Bank. For information, contact Pamela Kinder and UCFS at (860) 822-4146.
