Norwich Events Organization is looking for the best holiday decorations in the city for its Let’s Shine Holiday Decorating Contest, set to run from Friday, Nov. 27 through Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Norwich residents and businesses can visit Norwich Events Organization’s website, gonorwichct.com, or Facebook page to register their home or business.

“Let’s shine as a community. Deck your lawns, doors, windows or whatever you have and help us spread some light this holiday season,” Rebecca Alberts, chair of Norwich Events Organization, said in a release. “We hope that community decorations will raise community spirits and bring joy to the residents.”

Trophies will be awarded for Best Non-Traditional (whatever you want that isn’t traditionally Christmas), Clark Griswold Award (best impression of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation), People’s Choice (awarded after Christmas to give time for voting), Best of Norwich (best decorated house in the city), and Best Business (open to businesses, organizations, churches, clubs and school groups). Winners will get a trophy and gift basket.
