Norwich — The Shop Local Holiday Market in downtown Norwich planned for this Saturday has been rescheduled to next Saturday, Dec. 12, due to expected heavy rain this weekend.

The outdoor event from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 will feature more than 70 vendors set up along Broadway, Franklin and Bath streets in downtown Norwich. Local restaurants and businesses in the area also will participate.

The event is sponsored by the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce to replace the usual small business holiday showcase event at the Holiday Inn. A list of vendors is available at the chamber website, www.norwichchamber.com.
