Make a Difference: OIC of New London County

WHO: Low-income community members seeking job training.

AGENCY: OIC of New London County.

THEIR SITUATION: OIC has been able to transform lives and provide individuals with the skills they need to be productive members of their community. The organization relies on generous donations and contributions to provide no-cost training to low-income individuals seeking to improve their quality of life. The pandemic forced OIC to close temporarily early in the year but it reopened in September to continue its mission while prioritizing the safety of staff, students and community.

WHAT TO GIVE: Monetary donations will help OIC fund job training programs.

TO DONATE: Checks can be made out to OIC of New London County, Incorporated and mailed to 106 Truman St., New London, CT 06320. Donations also can be made online through OIC's Go Fund Me campaign, bit.ly/oicgfm2020. For more information, call (860) 447-1731.
