How and where to vote in the Groton City Democratic primary

Groton — In-person voting will take place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 8, for the City of Groton Democratic primary at the following locations:

District 2: Zbierski House, 1 Beach Pond Road (white building at Eastern Point Beach)

District 3: Groton City Municipal Building, 295 Meridian St.

"If you choose to vote in person, please remember to wear a mask and socially distance from others," state Rep. Christine Conley, D-Groton, said in an email providing information about voting.

Conley said absentee ballots are available until Friday, March 5, through the city clerk's office and must be placed in the ballot box in front of the Municipal Building by 8 p.m. Monday. She said same-day registration will not be available on the day of the primary.

Emergency ballots are available on Election Day to anyone who had an emergency, Registrar of Voters Kristen Venditti said.

People with questions about absentee ballots can call Groton City Clerk Deb Patrick at (860) 446-4102.
