Poetry in a Pandemic: A pandemic limerick

How easy this COVID virus can spread,

From your hands to your nose to your head.

    Don’t touch your eyes,

    Just hand sanitize.

So you stay healthy and out of your bed!

Nancy Perry lives in Mystic. “As I picked up my pen to write and submit my poem, I looked at my hands and chuckled at how dry, chapped, rough and cracked they look,” she said. “I have followed the CDC guidelines to proper hand hygiene to complete accuracy, gladly.”
