Sunflowers dancing on the snow,
Chorus line of wooden soldiers.
Once golden faces, now dark and creased,
Served chickadees a gourmet feast.
Brighter days, longer shadows.
Pictures black on white.
Deer etched prints upon the field,
Artists of the night.
Winds will March across this stage,
A cacophony of sound.
Heralding, “Next up crocuses,”
Splashing color all around.
