New London — An out-of-town ferry has come here to get some work done.

The Interstate Navigation high speed ferry M/V Athena was transitting up the Thames River on Tuesday while en route to the Thames Shipyard and Repair Co. in New London.

The 99-foot catamaran-hull Athena transports passengers from Point Judith to Block Island.
