Groton — Members of the community and the Groton Town Council applauded as public works employee Jacob Johnson raised the Pride flag Tuesday at Town Hall to mark the beginning of Pride Month.
Mayor Patrice Granatosky read a proclamation from the council declaring June Pride Month in the town.
A similar ceremony was held at the Groton City Municipal Building at the same time.
