East Lyme — Christian Franco, 4, his brother, Adian, 8, and their mother, Holly Beckwith, all of East Lyme, were peddling lemonade as cars drove down the road Thursday in Niantic.

The boys were visiting their grandparents and have helped a friend run a lemonade stand around the corner before, but Thursday was their first time doing it on their own.

Adian Franco, 8, of East Lyme hands customer Liam McCarthy his lemonade while his mother, Holly Beckwith, looks on at the lemonade stand that he and his brother, Christian, 4, not shown, were running Thursday, June 24, 2021, in the Niantic section of East Lyme. (Dana Jensen/The Day)
