The Whale Tail Drum Circle performs on Parade Plaza in New London Monday evening.
The group, which originally organized during the COVID-19 pandemic, started meeting on the plaza this spring and welcomes musicians to join them from 5:30 to 7:30 on Monday evenings. The group draws their name from the fountain.
The group plays a mix of instruments, Djembe, Conga, Bongo drums, as well as other percussion and the occasional tenor saxophone.
