Youths have been getting a taste of different arts and music this summer at various locations in Old Lyme and Lyme.

The Lymes Creative Arts program encourages middle and high school students to explore the arts.

As part of the program, the Pre-College Academy at Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme in past weeks has hosted workshops on drawing, illustration and conceptual art. The next three weeks, it will offer sculpture, animation classes and classical bootcamp.

The institution's Middle School Academy has held workshops on Leonardo da Vinci, Frida Kahlo and Alberto Giacometti.
