    Miss America Candidates visit Norwich

    Norwich -- The 52 candidates in the 2021 Miss America Competition visited City Hall Plaza in Norwich Monday afternoon as part of the organization's 100th anniversary festivities this week in the region.

    The candidates, from the 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., appeared in the annual Show Us Your Shoes parade in Mystic Monday morning, and will attend a gala celebration of the organization's 100th anniversary on Tuesday.

    The competition will take place in December at Mohegan Sun.
