New London — The New London Veterans Affairs Commission and Office of Mayor Michael Passero on Thursday will host a Veterans Day ceremony at 3 p.m. at the New London Senior Center, 120 Broad St.

The event will feature a presentation of colors by the U.S. Submarine Veterans organization and a wreath-laying. Groton City Mayor Keith Hedrick, a retired Naval officer, is the featured speaker.

Doors to the event open at 2:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Masks or face coverings are required.
