Electric Boat paying $500 bonus to employees vaccinated against COVID-19
Groton — Electric Boat will pay a $500 bonus to all employees vaccinated against COVID-19 by Jan. 4, 2022, company officials said.
In a podcast Thursday, EB President Kevin Graney informed employees the company will pay the incentive bonus to all those who have been vaccinated or who plan to be by the federal government’s vaccination deadline.
"For those of you who have already been vaccinated, thank you for taking this step. And for those of you who aren’t vaccinated, I urge you to do so," Graney said.
Andrew Bond, EB’s vice president of human resources, said employees must receive their final dose of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine by Jan. 4. Any employee who has submitted a valid proof of vaccination, and who has received a confirmation email that the proof has been accepted and validated already is eligible for the bonus.
Bonuses will be processed and paid on a rolling basis as they are received. Employees who submit completed documentation by Dec. 13 will receive the cash award in 2021. Employees who submit completed documentation no later than Jan. 7 will receive the bonus in early 2022.
