This is a section of West Main Street in the late 1800s, between Thames Square on the left and Washington Square on the right. This stretch of road is also sitting on Hollyhock Island. The entrance on the bottom left leads to today’s marina parking lot. The road, further up on the right, is Falls Avenue where the present day Norwich Transportation Center is located.

Ken Keeley is the author of 12 pictorial books of Norwich history. To purchase any of his books he can be reached on Facebook, or by e-mail at: kenekjr000@comcast.net.
