Old Lyme residents, business owners invited to take survey on pandemic effects

Old Lyme residents, business owners, and organization leaders are asked to participate in a survey to assess the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on the community. The survey, which is available online (OldLymeSurvey.com) or in paper form, is being conducted by the Town’s American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) Committee.

The survey, which closes Friday, Jan. 7, will be used toward the recommendations the advisory ARPA Committee will make to the Board of Selectmen for its allocation of the town’s $2.162 million in ARPA funding.

Participants of the survey will be asked about the effects of the pandemic on their household, business or nonprofit organization as well as their consideration of funding categories they feel most important for the community. A call for funding requests and/or applications will go out following the analysis of the survey results.

The Old Lyme Pandemic Recovery Survey can be found at OldLymeSurvey.com. Printed copies of the survey are available at the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall. For more information, contact the Selectman’s Office at (860) 434-1605 or go to oldlyme-ct.gov/american-rescue-plan-committee.

Comment threads are monitored for 48 hours after publication and then closed.
