Backus, Windham hospitals opening COVID-19 testing trailers
Hartford HealthCare is opening additional COVID-19 testing trailers across the state, including Wednesday in Norwich and Windham.
Starting Wednesday, the trailers will operate 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at Hartford HealthCare's East Region Support Office at Backus Hospital, 11 Stott Ave., Norwich, and at Windham Hospital, 112 Mansfield Ave., Windham.
Appointments will be required.
More trailers may be made available later, depending on the state’s decision about its testing program after its current contract with its testing partner, Sema4, expires at the end of January, Hartford HealthCare announced.
HHC also is opening other testing trailers in Bridgeport, Newington, New Britain, Meriden and Torrington. Information about hours, days and how to schedule an appointment will be posted online at HartfordHealthCare.org/testing.
