Mohegan Sun's permanent FanDuel sportsbook will open Thursday
Mohegan — With the Super Bowl four days away, Mohegan Sun has announced a "soft" opening of its Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook at 9 a.m. Thursday in space formerly occupied by the casino's Race Book.
The new sportsbook covers 11,000 square feet and includes a 140-foot video wall, more than 30 additional video screens, a mezzanine level with 22 luxury seats, and a full bar. It will feature multiple teller windows as well as 39 betting kiosks.
The sportsbook has a total of 222 seats and will incorporate the Race Book. A buffet priced at $29.95 will be served during Sunday’s game, which is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. A grand opening event is set for March 5.
On Sept. 30, Mohegan Sun hosted the launch of legal sports betting in the state in its Bow & Arrow Sports Bar, which has since hosted a temporary sportsbook.
