Yale New Haven Health donating more than $1 million in supplies to Ukraine

Yale New Haven Health is donating more than $1 million in medical supplies to the people of Ukraine through the U.S. Cooperative for International Patient Programs.

YNHH is providing large amounts of personal protective gear, including surgical masks, gowns, gloves and N95 masks. The medical staffs at each of YNHH’s delivery networks, in collaboration with the Yale School of Medicine, also will be making donations to an agency focused on humanitarian efforts related to the conflict in Ukraine.

“Yale New Haven Health has supported many people and countries in times of crisis, like hurricanes and natural disasters,” YNHH President Christopher O’Connor said. “We employ staff from Ukraine and all feel very strongly that we want to do whatever is in our power to support the people and the nation.”

YNHH includes Yale New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London and Westerly Hospital.
