    Norwich promotes three veteran city firefighters

    Norwich — The Norwich Fire Department promoted three veteran members Thursday and welcomed two tentative new members.

    Lt. Michael Podzaline, Capt. Christopher Zaugg and Battalion Chief Michael Dziavit were promoted during the ceremony at City Hall

    Chief Tracy Montoya swore in two recent graduates of the state fire academy as probationary firefighters.
