Chapel Hill Road to close for construction in Montville

Montville — Chapel Hill Road will be closed to all traffic starting on Wednesday, July 27, at 8 a.m. and ending on Aug. 10 at 5 p.m., Mayor Ron McDaniel announced in a news release Thursday.

The closure will be in the Utz Drive area and is necessary to allow the crews to replace the aging crossroad drainage culvert, which was damaged during Hurricane Ida last year.

McDaniel said detours will be clearly posted and the town’s emergency services have made the appropriate response protocols.
