    Norwich celebrates its cultural Diversity

    The Peruvian dance group Yawar Llajta performs at the Rotary Clubs of Norwich annual Celebrate Cultural Diversity event Monday, September 19, 2020, at Howard T. Brown Park. The event is sponsored by a City of Norwich ARPA Grant for Arts Can Culture, Chelsea Groton Bank, Johnny’s Clam Shack and variety of community sponsors. More than a dozen food vendors provided a wide variety of dishes from across the cultural spectrum. Music, dance and other performers took the stage, or the area in front of the stage, throughout the evening. Norwich Mayor Peter Nystrom read a proclamation from the City Council, and the 8th annual Norwich Rotary Lottie B. Scott Diversity Award was presented to Barry N.
