Hispanic Alliance hosts events with Latin American artists in October
New London ― The Hispanic Alliance of Southeastern Connecticut will host a conversation with three Latin American artists for Hispanic Heritage Month.
The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 at 170 State St. The three featured artists are Margarita Maxon, Amparo Bustamante and Adriana "Yayi" Arias.
Following the event, the Hispanic Alliance will host a series of workshops with the artists. Maxon’s workshop “The Mayan Calendar” will be Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. Bustamante will present a workshop “An Abstract Experience” Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. Arias will hold a workshop on Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon.
