    Candidate debate to be held Wednesday in Norwich

    Norwich ― Candidates for the 19th state Senate District seat and the 46th, 47th and 139th state House districts will participate in a debate Wednesday at Slater Auditorium at Norwich Free Academy.

    The debate will begin at 6 p.m. with a debate between 19th District Senate incumbent Democrat Cathy Osten and Republican challenger Pietro “Rocky” Camardella.

    At 7 p.m., candidates for the three House seats will take the stage. The 46th District race has no incumbent. Democrat Derell Wilson and Republican Robert Bell are vying for the seat. Incumbent Republican incumbent Doug Dubitsky and Democrat Dave Nowakowski are running in the 47th District, and incumbent Democrat Kevin Ryan and Republican challenger Mark Adams are running in the 139th District.

    The event is free and open to the public.

    The debate is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Southeastern Connecticut, the Norwich NAACP Robertsine Duncan Youth Council, The NFA Young Voters Society and the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce.
