L+M to offer free ‘Stop The Bleed’ training
New London ― Lawrence + Memorial Hospital is sponsoring free training sessions on stopping serious bleeding.
The “Stop The Bleed” sessions are scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 26, Tuesday, Dec. 6 and Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 at the hospital, 365 Montauk Ave.

Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death, after injury, in the world. “Stop The Bleed” training can make a life-or-death difference when someone is severely bleeding. By using direct pressure, packing a wound, or applying a tourniquet, anyone can be ready to act when a bleeding emergency occurs.
