Norwich - Halloween arrived early in the form of a 12-foot tall witch, which landed in front of Norwich City Hall, Friday afternoon in advance of the inaugural NorWITCH Halloween Strut.

Norwich Public Works employees unloaded the giant witch from their truck at the intersection of Broadway and Bath Street among a myriad of decorations added around downtown for the event.

The strut runs from 6-8 p.m. Saturday with live music, dance performances, craft vendors, food trucks, and a jack-o-lantern contest.
