Groton Police: Man with a knife robs Gold Star Highway Henny Penny
Groton ― Police said a man brandished a knife and demanded money Saturday evening at the Henny Penny on Gold Star Highway before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
According to a news release from the Town of Groton Police Department, the man left the Henny Penny at 1270 Gold Star Highway in a vehicle before officers arrived at approximately 7:15 p.m., for the reported robbery. Police said no injuries were reported.
Police said the man left in a black four-door sedan being driven by a woman.
The suspect was described as a dark-skinned Hispanic male, with short black hair and black facial hair, wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt with white writing.
Detectives arrived and were investigating, according to the news release.
