Make a Difference: Safe Futures
Who: Amanda , 27, and two children, a 4-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy.
Agency: Safe Futures, an organization that provides services for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking.
The Situation: Amanda was referred to the Safe Futures emergency shelter by a domestic violence shelter in another state that needed to relocate her due the proximity of her abuser. She and her kids arrived at the Safe Futures’ shelter with just a small bag of clothes and what they were wearing.
What to give: Funds toward buying a car, gift cards for groceries and necessities, girls winter clothing size 5T, winter boots size 10 kids, Leapfrog learning toys, coloring books, Barbies, Squishmallow and twin bedding set, boy’s winter clothing size 6, winter boots size 12 kids, dinosaurs, Legos sets, learning toys, kid’s tablet.
