    Make A Difference: Thames River Family Program

    WHO: Lizzy, a young mother with four children: Jose, Juan, Carlos and Jackie.

    AGENCY: Thames River Family Program

    THEIR SITUATION: Lizzy and her family escaped a house fire that left them homeless. She has worked hard to provide for her children’s basic needs while learning English and tackling legal, medical and employment challenges. Staff at Thames River, which provides transitional housing for homeless pregnant and parenting youth 18 to 24 years of age, is helping her identify resources and set new goals.

    WHAT TO GIVE: Lizzy needs household items, food and gas cards. Jose, 6, likes dinosaurs, cars, Sonic, Spiderman, clothing, and shoes. Juan, 4, likes dinosaurs, Paw Patrol, Batman, clothing and shoes. Carlos, 2, likes Paw Patrol, CocoMelon, clothing and shoes. Jackie, a 3-month-old girl, needs clothing, diapers and wipes.
