Stonington couple welcomes first baby of year in New London

Sarah and Smaran Shrestha of Stonington welcomed their first child on New Year’s Day at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London. Baby Cy was born at 2 p.m. on Jan. 1 – becoming L+M Hospitals’ first baby of 2023. He was due on Jan. 6.

A spokesperson for the hospital said everyone is doing well.
