    ‘Friends’ tend trees at Harkness

    Waterford ― Members of the Friends of Harkness garden volunteers were busy Wednesday pruning trees in the apple orchard at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford.

    The group meets every Wednesday, 9 a..m. to noon at the park and will be working in the apple orchard until finished.

    The group welcomes new volunteers who do not need to be experienced gardeners.
